Day 3: Grand Canyon National Park–monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK Free time this morning. MONUMENT VALLEY NAVAJO TRIBAL PARK [LF] 4-wheel-drive backcountry tour with a Navajo Guide. [LF] Navajo backcountry cookout under the stars this evening. Your overnight lodging is located in the heart of Monument Valley, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Day 7: Custer State Park. Excursion To Mount Rushmore & Crazy Horse Memorial
MOUNT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL Visit the memorial, featuring monumental likenesses of four U.S. Presidents. CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL Visit the memorial and museum, built in honor of the fearless Sioux Chief whose renown is derived from the Battle of the Little Bighorn. CUSTER STATE PARK [LF] Buffalo safari with a local expert before a backcountry chuckwagon cookout with Western entertainment. (B,D)
Day 8: Custer State Park–deadwood–sheridan
DEADWOOD Tour historic Main Street with Local Guide and hear stories of legendary characters that contributed to the town’s history, such as Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, and Potato Creek Johnny. Scenic drive through the Black Hills to Sheridan, located at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains. SHERIDAN Free time this evening. (B)
